Elbow and Hand Conditions

Hand and elbow pain
While there are many elbow and hand conditions we treat that are common to sports, we’ve also seen many injuries that come from regular, everyday activity, such as gardening, carpentry, or texting and typing. At Dynamic Physiotherapy, we offer comprehensive, personalized treatment focus on reducing pain, improving your condition, and getting you back to your day to day activities.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal Tunnel syndrome is one of the most common wrist injuries we see at Dynamic Physiotherapy, and can result in numbness and pain in the first three fingers of the hand. We have significant experience treating Carpal Tunnel syndrome, and because it can become worse over time, treatment is recommended as soon as possible to speed the healing process.

De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis

De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis

De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis is a thumb injury that causes pain and inflammation, with effects sometimes felt all the way up the forearm. It is often caused by various activities requiring repetitive thumb use, and it affects women significantly more than it does men. At Dynamic Physiotherapy, we provide treatment that focuses on reducing pain and swelling, and we also offer physical products such as splints that reduce the activities that cause pain and swelling.

Medial Epicondylitis (Golfers Elbow) and Lateral Epicondylitis (Tennis Elbow)

Medial Epicondylitis (Golfers Elbow) and Lateral Epicondylitis (Tennis Elbow)

Lateral and Medial Epicondylitis, commonly known as Golfer’s Elbow and Tennis Elbow, often occurs due to overuse of the arm, and while commonly associated with people over the age of 40, can actually happen to almost anyone. Dynamic Physiotherapy offers a number of treatment options for these conditions, and activities leading to this kind of pain should be halted.
